lessons from painting bodies

I'm not very skilled masking or painting bodies, but I learned a lot by doing it! I'm using 2 colors of spray paint, each backed with a coat of white. I used Krylon paint for thee white coats, and found Krylon was WAY too thick as far as paint goes- maybe the can was old and got thick. I would love to hear tips and tricks from people, especially about how to use masking tape better. With these, I learned: - do not make thick coats of paint, especially on first coat, it will creep under tape. - do make sure to rub the edge of the tape firmly in the curves and corners. - do not pull the tape off too early, the paint may still be drying and sticky like なっとう - important: before second color or white back-coat, make sure you inspect the deep recesses of the body for coverage! (Maybe work some paint in with a brush or toothpick?!) Anyhow, next car builds are going to look hot with these bodies- And I learned a lot for next time I paint!
